Two retreats just wrapped up at our lake house, and wow… what a ride. Every time, I think I can’t be more amazed - and yet, here we are again, humbled and moved by the people who showed up and what unfolded.
The idea behind these retreats is simple: to give people a place to just be. To slow down, feel at ease, and enjoy the little things - the trees just being trees, the lake doing its thing, the wind making its own kind of magic. Nothing here is trying to impress you, and honestly, neither should we.
The two retreats were so different - the energies, the group dynamics, the stories - yet they shared the same essence: people coming back to themselves.
Of course, it wasn’t all laughter and bliss. Buttons were pressed. Realizations hit. Tears fell, laughter followed, and sometimes it got messy - but in that beautifully human way. People started to notice what’s still stuck, what needs to be felt, where the grief still lingers. And also, that this path toward lightness and freedom doesn’t happen overnight - it’s walked one step (and sometimes one storm) at a time.
Speaking of storms - the second retreat brought a big one. Both outside and inside. At one point, someone drew a card that said:
“Storms are a perfect training ground for compassion.”
Couldn’t have summed it up better.
And because we had lightning going like crazy I was also humbly asked to invite the first group of yogis into our not-quite-finished shala - about 70% done - and yet it became one of those unforgettable moments for me.
Thank you to everyone who joined us - for your hearts, kindness, your storms, your softness, your laughter, and your willingness to come back to what truly matters.🤍✨
