මේ ලොව බිහි වූ විශිෂ්ටතම කාන්තා කෙටි දුර දිවීමේ ශූරියන් දෙපළක් වූ එක්සත් ජනපදයේ මේරියන් ජෝන්ස් සහ ශ්‍රීලංකාවේ සුසන්තිකා ජයසිංහ. මෙම ඡායාරූපය ඔවුන් දෙදෙනා එකම සහාය දිවීමේ කණ්ඩායමක් නියෝජනය කරනු ලැබූ දුර්ලභ අවස්ථාවක්.

ඇමෙරිකා එක්සත් ජනපදයේ පැරණිතම මෙන්ම වාර්ෂිකව පවත්වනු ලබන විශාලතම මලලක්‍රීඩා තරඟය වන්නේ "Penn Relays" මලලක්‍රීඩා ශූරතාවයයි. පෙනිසිල්වේනියා විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය මගින් සංවිධානය කරනු ලබන මෙම තරඟාවලියේ ආරම්භය වර්ෂ 1895 තෙක් දිව යනවා.

1999 වසරේ මෙම ශූරතාවය සඳහා මොවුන් එක්ව තරඟ වදින්නේ "Nike International" ක්‍රීඩා සමාජය නියෝජනය කරමින්. මොවුන් දෙදෙනා සමග නයිජීරියාවේ ෆිලායට් ඔගුන්කොවා සහ එක්සත් ජනපදයේ ඉන්ගර් මිලර් එක්ව කාන්තා මීටර් 4*200 ඉසව්ව ජය ගනු ලබන්නේ වි 1:30.23 ක් වූ මෙම ඉසව්ව සඳහා එම වසරේ ලොව වේගවත්ම කාලය සටහන් කරමින්.
