Expressway Cricket Team has qualified for the Quarter Finals of the Nationalized Services Cricket Tournament (40 overs) after a hard-fought victory against the Industrial Development Board (IDB)!

IDB posted a total of 185/9 in their 40 overs, with Sameera scoring 42 and Thimira contributing 30 runs. On the bowling front, Sumeda led the way with 4 wickets, while Harsha and Kasun picked up 2 wickets each.

In response, the match was reduced to 33 overs due to rain, and the revised target for Expressway was set at 165. The team chased it down with a total of 166/7 in 19.2 overs!

Standout performances in the chase:

Sumeda played a brilliant knock of 51 runs.
Asanka chipped in with 31 crucial runs.
