Japan Karate Do Hakuakai Sri Lanka - Colombo Branch students had their grading examination on the 31st of January 2026 at Losaka Gardens. All the students managed to complete their syllabus during the training time period. I congratulate all our students who have got through from the examination with excellent results! 🎉🎉🎉💚🥋

Special thanks goes to Sensei Saman Palitha the Chief Instructor of Japan Karate Do Kenshikai, Sensei Malinda Wijekoon the deputy secretary of Japan Karate do Hakuakai Sri Lanka and Sensei Uminda Perera the deputy treasurer Japan Karate Do Hakuakai Sri Lanka for their contribution as judges and for sharing valuable advices after the examination.

Also, I want to thanks Mr. Mahesh the owner of Losaka Gardens, Katubedda for permitting us to use the premises for this event.

Today is our last day in Japan. We had an amazing training session with Renshi Agalawatte our Grand Master at Hombu Dojo, Kawaguchi. Sri Lankan kids were having a great time with Japanese students. It was an absolute combination.

Thank you all the Japanese parents and Students of Nihon Karate Do Hakuakai at Hombu Dojo.

We have arrived in Japan on the 08th of August to participate with the 42nd Annual Hakuakai Karate World Cup Championship 2025. The Championship was held yesterday (on the 10th) at Itabashi Stadium with 350 odd participants.

Please see the results below.

1. I have secured the second runner up 🥉 in the veteran Kumite event.

2. Senesh Rakitha secured the Silver medal 🥈 in the Junior High School Kata event.

3. Senesh Rakitha secured the second runner up 🥉in the junior high schools Kumite event.

Kenul Damsuru and Adhithra Hirun have won their first fights in the Junior school Kumite and Kata events and lost in the second fight.

Miheli Liyasika had put her best effort in both Kumite and Kata.

I would like to pay my gratitude to Renshi Lakshman Agalawatta for offering us this great opportunity to participate in the annual Hakuakai world Championships in every year. Also I would like to thankful to the parents who have joined in this tour Mr. Thilanka Manamperi Mrs. Tekla Harshani, Mr. Nilanka Jeewantha and Mrs. Shanika Jayani and my class mate and my friend Mr. Gayan Asanka for their great help to make this journey a successful one.

So, we have 3 medals to bring back to Sri Lanka with so much of pride and joy. Thank you all the supporters from Sri Lanka including our partners and students. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🥋
