I almost quit my business. 2.5yrs back, I thought this business is not growing as I want.

I was continuously investing, but growth wasn’t happening as I wanted. It was about me, not them.

So, I felt frustrated and I thought a coaching business is no longer for me because by that time, I had been trying for 1.5yrs.

But fast forward to today, the same person is making consistent 5-9k months now.

How did I go through this transformation?

First of all, I asked myself this one powerful question. “Do I really need this business?” YES, I wanted this business because I knew its going to give me the freedom and flexibility I was craving for as a 9-5 employee.

Then I started looking at what are the mistakes I was doing and what I was doing right?

I changed my messaging to only speak to my ideal clients.

I focused on my brand strategy and started position myself as an experienced coach.

I stopped saying YES to clients for the sake of money and even book the sales calls with my ideal clients.

I stopped only depending on content and use an integrated lead generation strategy to generate 100s of quality leads every month. This was the game changer.

This whole transformation took sometime, but 08 months ago, everything started to accelerate and now, I’m consistently making 5-9k months.

The Only Way to Accelerate Your Business Growth

What’s your best advice for new coaches?

One of my life coaching friend asked me this question.

Well, my answer is “Stop trying to figure out everything by yourself, you just can’t”.

Well, as a coach who had my fair share of struggles over the past 4yrs, I can tell you confidently that, there is no magic or secret to make your coaching business a success.

But one main reason for me to build my coaching business to this level is “my mentors”.

In the last 4yrs, I had 3 business coaches and one life coach.

All of them helped me to build my coaching business from many ways.

2020 - I went from having zero clients to fully booked.

2021 - Feeling frustrated, procrastinating coach to a high performer

2022 - Making my first 10k in coaching business

2023 - Built a coaching business which makes 5k in sales consistently

2024 - Getting closer to 10k/month

This growth was impossible without my coaches. Back in the day, there were so many things in my business that I was postponing simply because I categorized those tasks as difficult or boring. Specially lead generation. I told myself “It’s hard, I can’t spend time on these, there should be a better way, let me figure out an easy method” etc.

But I was punished by my own action in the hardest way and I couldn’t sign up clients consistently.

It was mainly because I was overthinking the tasks and trying to label whatever new tasks or the tasks where I should put some efforts as difficult or boring. I was continuously focusing on doing the easiest tasks.

After almost one year only I realized that its time for me to rollout my sleeves and start taking action because my business was dying.

So, the biggest change I made was, the way I think about these tasks.

Instead of labeling tasks, I started telling myself, “I have to do what it takes for me to get the results”.

So my focus shifted from overthinking the tasks to focus on the goal and deciding the process I have to follow to achieve that goal no matter what. Then without overthinking, I focus on just getting things done.

One of the significant transformations I saw within myself with this was, I became more disciplined and everything started to feel much easier by the passing of time.

That’s how my whole lead generation process started to be efficient so quickly which finally started giving me consistent flow of leads.

Now, you could be in a similar situation like me. There is so much resistance within you to do what you should do. You continuously tell yourself things like “I can’t, I don’t want to, I hate….” when you talk about many things in business. But let me tell you from my experience, your success is within those tasks. You have to do what it takes to be succesfull. Don’t let your brain to hold you back in comfort zone.

First of all, the way you communicate make or break your sales process. That is exactly why you need to focus on these tips.

Who is that one person who has a problem that you are providing the solution to. Do you know that person 100%. Tell them how you solve their problem. Create a bond with them and make them understood.

I know what they said was not 100% true.

When I asked from some of the coaches why do they started their coaching businesses, the common answer I get is “I want to serve others”.

But here is my question. By default, Aren’t we supposed to serve others to our level best from our businesses? Coaching is about changing others lives.

Then why did you actually start the business? Have you genuinely asked this question from you?

I had the same issue when I was starting. I wanted to push back my desires for the business. I wanted to think I should keep on thinking only giving not receiving. Thinking about receiving is bad.

Soon, I realized what kind of a big lie is that and how it blocked my growth.

That’s why, What do you exactly want from your business?

Well, you don’t have to say it out loud all the time.

But at least are you being honest to yourself? or else, are you constantly pushing yourself to think “Money or whatever you expect in your business should be secondary”.

“Selling or talking about your offer is the biggest mistake or you should serve for free only”.

The more you suppress what you truly want, the more you become stress.

But once you accept that what are your true desires are, everything starts to fall into the right place.

That’s why I want to encourage you to accept the truth.

Its ok to want more money

Its ok for you to having a goal to be rich.

Its ok to think quitting your 9-5 forever.

Its ok to dream to be the first millionaire in the family.

Its ok wanting travel around the world.

When we focus on what we truly want, the way we take action in our businesses change. Actually that change is positive when we do it consciously.

Then we know we have to serve, we have to be ethical but at the same time we create a life what we desire.

That’s when your confidence boosts and you start to show up authentically.

Its a win win situation and you thrive while you help others to thrive.

There was a period in my life where I tried multiple businesses.

I tried affiliate marketing, dropshipping, blogging, selling digital products etc. Every time I started these businesses, I was planning so well. I took weeks and months to create a perfect plan.

But after so much planning, when I started to work on these businesses, within a few weeks, I started to feel overwhelmed and most of the time, I gave up these businesses without even trying properly.

Why? I felt exhausted and thinking only “this is not going to work, the work load is too much, there should be an easy way”. Thousands of excuses.

I can remember, when I was nonstop complaining, my friend told me “You are so good at planning but the ex*****on is poor, stop overthinking and just do the work”.

I was so annoyed to hear this and thought he was just telling this because he didn’t like I was doing it. Actually my ego was speaking at that time.

But after some time, when I started to do the same thing in my coaching business, I started to realize what he told was correct.

I was wasting a lot of time on planning and didn’t implement any of my plans to 100%. I didn’t to the work at present and instead was living in future. That was the main issue for me to not see the result.

As a result, I wasted so much time and money as well.

The moment I realize this mistake, I wanted to immediately change. But it was hard because whatever I was doing, it had become a habit. So, I had to deliberately put a lot of effort to come out of this negative thinking and behavior.

However, I’m so glad that I did it because that’s one of the reasons for me to able to grow my business fast. Now I work on my business focusing on my next step rather planning 100 steps ahead.

Not knowing everything is the reality of a business, but that’s the excitement and fun as well. So, we have to be open to take risks and work on steps that we can see. What matters the most is our unwavering faith and determination to succeed.
