SMSC & YSMSC in Action at the Mighty Mini Grand Prix 2026!

Our team of officials took charge of the timing, marshalling, and stewarding operations for the Mighty Mini Grand Prix 2026, held on August 8th at the Katukurunda Racing Track.

A big thank you to the Mighty Mini Club of Sri Lanka for trusting us with the track operations for their club event. Fantastic work by all our officials on and off the track to ensure a smooth, precise, and safe race day!

The Annual General Meeting of the Southern Motor Sports Club was held today, March 22nd 2026, at Sanaya Mansion Hotel, Matara. It was a successful day for our community as we gathered to reflect on the achievements of the 2025/26 term and set our sights on the 2026/27 year ahead.

The proceedings opened with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp and a moment of silence in memory of late SMSC members. Following the presentation of the Secretary’s Report and the Audited Accounts, the membership moved to the election of the Executive Committee for the 2026/27 term.

While the club welcomes a new Treasurer for the upcoming year, we are pleased to announce that our core leadership remains steady, with the President and Secretary continuing in their roles to drive the club forward. The session concluded with productive discussions on future initiatives and the official appointment of the Young Southern Motor Sports Club (YSMSC) office bearers.

Thank you to all members who attended and shared their vision for the club. We are ready to shift gears into another high-octane year! 🏁🏎️

Annual General Meeting of Young Southern Motor Sports Club was held on 1st of March at Pearl Palace, Matara.
As the former president of YSMSC, Mr. Sandaru Dheerasekara and former secretary of YSMSC, Mr. Amalka Ariyathilaka transitioned to Southern Motor Sports Club, a new executive committee was appointed.
