Alhamdulillah We are pleased to announce a significant milestone for Al-Manar National School. After 92 years of distinguished history, we have embarked on an exciting new chapter by introducing hardball cricket for students across the Under-11 to Under-19 age groups. This advancement comes as a result of our successful registration with Sri Lanka School Cricket, enabling us to compete in official tournaments.

Today marked a historic moment as we celebrated our inaugural match in this new cricketing initiative. We are delighted to share that our Under-17 team secured a commendable victory in this debut game, setting an optimistic tone for the season ahead.

This achievement is the result of considerable hard work, meticulous planning, and the unwavering support of many dedicated individuals. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this vision a reality. Your commitment and enthusiasm have been instrumental in bringing this exciting development to fruition.

Practice match between U-15 VS U17, great victory for U-15 Boys.

The U-17 team had a strong start, scoring 192 runs in 26 overs, with Hanan leading the way with 73 runs. Yoosuf contributed with an unbeaten 39 runs, while Munshif scored 19 runs. In response, the U-15 team's bowlers performed well, with Hussain taking 3 wickets in just 3.3 overs and Abdurahman Ishak taking 2 wickets in 3 overs. In their second innings, the U-15 team successfully chased down the target, scoring 193 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 31 overs. Abdurahman Naeem played a crucial role with an unbeaten 41 runs, supported by Aiyoob Farahan with 12 runs and Rifah with 9 runs. The U-15 team emerged victorious, winning the match by 4 wickets. Hussain was recognized as the best bowler of the match, Hanan as the best batsman, and Abdurahman Naeem as the man of the match.

Today, a friendly 50-over match between Al-Manar U-15 and U-17 took place at Kandy Vidhyaraththa turf ground.
