With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mr. Calum Devit McClure, former Head Coach of Summa Rugby and a former Scotland National Rugby Player.

Mr. McClure will forever be remembered as a true turning point in the history of Summa Rugby. When the program stood at its lowest, he accepted the challenge with unwavering commitment, discipline, and vision. Through his leadership and dedication, Summa Rugby rose from humble beginnings to Division 1A, where it proudly stands today.

His influence extended far beyond the field. He shaped not only players, but young menβ€”instilling values of courage, teamwork, resilience, and respect. His legacy lives on in every jersey worn, every tackle made, and every victory achieved by Summa Rugby.

We express our deepest gratitude and utmost respect for a remarkable coach, mentor, and sportsman.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, at his residence in Galgamuwa.

We express our deepest condolences on the passing of Mrs. Jaya Mangala Gedara Nandawathi, beloved mother of Mr. Ranil Gunasekara, Managing Director of Vito Wood Fired Pizza, a distinguished Old Boy of Sri Sumangala College, Kandy, and a continuous supporter of Summa Rugby.

Her remains lie at their residence on Pottapitiya Road, near Giragama Tea Factory, and the final rites will be held tomorrow evening at Arambegama Cemetery.

May she attain the Supreme Bliss of Nirwana. πŸ•Š
