We, the Richmond College Chess Association, are excited by the interest of the players at the last events organized by several chess enthusiasts in Sri Lanka. Being inspired by them, we are here to bring the chess community together on a stronger platform, to experience some exciting and entertaining chess!
This Team Chess Championship will consist of two chess variants which will be hosted on Lichess platform (Blitz and CrazyHouse). It will be held on the following dates.
Blitz– 19th April 2020 (7.00p.m-8.30p.m)
CrazyHouse – 22nd April 2020 (7.00p.m-8.30p.m )
Awards :
All the players should participate in both variants and the top 3 teams with the most points out of all variants will be awarded.
The top 6 players of top 3 teams with most points out of both variants will be rewarded.
The winners are selected by summation of the points of the top 6 players of each team.
Prizes are as follows (from any service provider)
Champion Team –Top 6 players - 7.5GB Data (Each Player)
1st runner up Team –Top 6 players - 3.5GB Data (Each Player)
2nd runner up Team –Top 6 players - 1.5GB Data (Each Player)
How to register :
1. We require captains of all teams who wish to participate to fill in the following Google Form. Teams will not be eligible for prizes unless they have not filled and submitted this form.

2. Once your response is received, our team will validate your credentials and register your team in the tournaments. (Team must consist min 8 players or max 20 players)
3. Once your team is registered, you can invite your team members to join the two tournaments at :

Anti-cheating policy :
We take integrity of our sport very seriously. Due to the recent allegations raised during the online tournaments on lichess, we have made several arrangements to minimise fraudulent activity during the competition.
It is the responsibility of the captain to make sure the team members adhere to fair play and avoid cheating. If a member of a team is found to have cheated by lichess, all members of the team will be disqualified, and prizes will be awarded to the team ranked below in the final rankings. Further, the identities of the cheaters will be made public.
All team captains should provide a list of members of their respective teams to RCCA. The team captains will be contacted by RCCA with regard to this information.
Additional notes :
- Please note that if any server issues come up the tournament will be cancelled and rescheduled.
- Prize Will be awarded after completion of the Anti-Cheating Scan by Lichess Team.
