Four months can sound like a long time, but somehow it feels like you arrived only yesterday.
Zsuzsi came to Gaia Ella as an incredible yoga teacher and a wonderfully creative soul — but she became so much more than that. She brought her ideas, her energy, her heart, and a little bit of her magic into everything she touched.
She created our beautiful food menu and tea menu, gave our Booking.com and Hostelworld pages a whole new life, and helped shape the little details that make Gaia Ella feel like home. 🌿☕️💕
But perhaps the most beautiful part was how deeply she connected with our local community. She shared yoga with the children, got her hands dirty helping rebuild the school, and gave her time, energy and love so generously. Watching her become part of something bigger than herself was truly special.

We are so grateful for these four months with you. You have become such a beautiful part of our Gaia family, and your presence will be deeply missed.
But this isn’t goodbye.
It’s see you later. ✨
Wherever your path takes you next, we hope it brings you as much joy, inspiration and love as you brought to us.

From sharing yoga with our community and teaching the little ones, to helping create a new garden and water system for a local school, sharing a meal with a local family, and taking in the beauty of Ella Rock — these are the moments that make life here so special.

Grateful for the people we meet, the connections we create, and the small steps we can take to give something back to the community we call home. 🪷🤍

At Gaia Ella, yoga is more than a practice on the mat—it is a way of living, connecting, and giving back.✨
Today, we celebrate the ancient wisdom of yoga that unites breath, body, mind, and heart. Surrounded by the beauty of Sri Lanka’s mountains, we are reminded that true well-being grows when we nurture not only ourselves, but also our community.💛
Through every class, every shared breath, and every act of kindness, we continue our karma yoga journey—supporting local children through school renovation projects and bringing yoga, breathwork, and sound healing to students and teachers in nearby villages.✨
To everyone who has practiced with us, thank you. You are part of something much bigger than a yoga class.
