It is with great pride that I contribute this message for the official IIT Cricket Page. For the past 21 years of the existence of IIT, it was only at the end of the year 2011 me and my fellow mates thought of coming up with a Cricket team. Ever since I joined IIT in the year 2010, I saw a lot of potential Cricketers among the students who had been playing Cricket as a passion. Therefore, I came u

p with the idea of forming the official Cricket team for IIT. It is been a great honor to raise the captaincy and lead the team of the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) from the year 2011 till present. And we are all devoted to play this game of Cricket with Great Spirit of Brotherhood. As soon as this talented team was formed, this was proved to a great extent last year as we achieved an honorable victory, winning the 1st Cricket Encounter “Clash of the Undergrads” VS South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) which brought us real value and pride as the students of IIT. Being the captain of the team, I am so proud to say that some of the players, who have never played professional Cricket before, have become the key players in the team as it stands today. I wish to thank all my team mates for their enthusiastic co-operation and invaluable contribution to the team with great appreciation. And I hope all of you will keep the same spirit of team work in the upcoming years as well. At present our,
