THAABIT AHMED

He first set up the Academy in 2009 and has been overwhelmed by the level of interest and support for his venture. Thaabit has extensive experience playing and coaching at Colombo International School, Asian International School, Overseas School, at the British High Commission and more recently as Head Coach at the British School in Colombo. He has played for some of Sri Lanka’s mos

t successful clubs including Saunders SC and the Navy. Thaabit is ably assisted at the Academy by Assistant coach Sulaim Ithihad at its excellent ground at the Royal College Sports Complex. What TAFA offers

As well as providing a range of affordable professionally-run football programmes for children from the age of 2 upwards, TAFA has a number of national and international links and regularly organizes visiting tours from schools and clubs abroad. These tours provide exciting footballing and social opportunities for young footballers in the Colombo area. Working with parents

In order to achieve the best for all the children concerned, the Academy is committed to working closely with parents. We are always happy to listen to ideas, take on board and respond to feedback and consult about new developments.
