ertainment and refreshments for the electrifying couple of days for the young, old and the beautiful. We'll be at The Grand Stand this year with comfortable seating for you to enjoy a good game of cricket. Placement of this tent gives a perfect vantage point for a cricket enthusiast to embrace the true sportsmanship by observing every single move of players throughout the day. Nalanda Maroons Stand entrance package is priced at LKR 3000 (Entry ticket LKR 650 + Entertainment voucher LKR 2,350) for the Old boys and for your wife and kids (under the age of 10) entrance will be free of charge. Entertainment voucher will give you access to unlimited beverages and tapas. Furthermore it includes a delicious lunch for you as well as a chance to win valuable gifts from the entry tickets draw. To keep the fun flowing all day around we have legendary Nalandian band - SAMAN & THE CLAN on Saturday the 5th March and Baila sensation GLORY on Sunday the 6th March. We also have a 30 piece mega ‘Papare’ band as well as Colombo’s hottest 90's DJ Shiran jamming side by side with. Terms & Conditions
1. The voucher will only be valid to enter “Nalanda Maroons” Stand (at The Grand Stand, SSC) for a single person 5th & 6th March 2016.

2. Access to the Nalanda Maroons stand only from the Grand Stand entrance near Sri Lanka Cricket, Maitland Place,

3. Glass bottles are not permitted.

4. Damaging/destroying any properties with the ground will result an immediate fine equivalent to the reinstall value of the same (i.e- fine for replacing a damaged chair within the stand is LKR 4000)

5. Any inappropriate behaviour will result in banishing from the premises at the discretion of the security personnel.

6. Any other tickets can not be used to enter "Nalanda Maroons" stand (at The Grand Stand, SSC)

High Tea with Legends 2026

Continuing a valued tradition, the Old Nalandians’ Silver Committee together with Team Nalanda Maroons successfully organized High Tea with Legends 2026 at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo, a week ahead of the 96th Battle of the Maroons.

The programme was designed to provide encouragement, motivation and valuable guidance to the Nalanda College Cricket Team as they prepared for the prestigious big match encounter.

The session featured inspiring interactions with distinguished Old Nalandian and veteran cricket commentator Mr. Kamal Deshappriya, Sri Lanka National Fast Bowling Coach Mr. Anusha Samaranayake, and former Hong Kong Sixes winning team member and current Chief Distribution Officer of Allianz Insurance, Mr. Ranga Dias. Sharing their experiences, insights and words of wisdom, the speakers helped uplift the morale and confidence of the players, reinforcing the spirit, discipline and pride required to represent Nalanda on the grand stage.
