Dear Bjorn & Everyone,
We're very disappointed to witness Mr Sheran's reply (Attached : “Responses to the complaint.pdf”) which has no relation and mostly with untruthful reasoning for the points in the email we have mentioned. Especially when the facts being given by him for 1-5 sections;
• In reality Mr Sheran is referring some other Rasika who is not myself in Heshan Flexe club. In fact this is Mr Rasika Milroy in R&V team itself who had made this request to Mr Sheran asking to play the matches on weekdays; and not me who is Rasika from Heshan club
• This misunderstanding of Mr Sheran is extremely unacceptable and we consider this as a major lie created by him against us
• Please refer the list of Heshan Club's current team in this tournament where we do not have any player who plays for any mercantile (A-division) tournament
• Please refer the current RnV team representing this LMS tournament which seems to be having a few players into mercantile(A-division) matches (which relates to be happening this weekend, as per Mr Sheran's email)
• We always wanted to play the matched during the weekend, not on Friday (or any other weekdays)
• We have written proofs (presentable on request) which the LMS administration has sent us asking to confirm to play the quarter-final match on Friday(15th September) or any other weekday instead of the Weekend (16th, 17th September), which is not acceptable
• We fully and completely reject all the incorrect reasons given by. Mr Sheran against us, merely his reasoning is fully against what the administration has done with this regards (Refer our previous email for more info)
• PS : About 05 September 2017, it is a public holiday in SriLanka and therefore we consider it’s a fair request asking the teams to play in a public holiday where no one is working
Regarding the reasoning for 6-9, I would like to to let this audience know that,
• During all the LMS tournaments that we had so far, there were no such restriction as to pay the entry-fees before the tournament’s final day and it was a well-known fact. (Pleas kindly inquire about this from Mr. Yasiru Warnakulasooriya who had been closely working with every team on this during past tournaments)
• This time too there were no mention about a formal/special request asking to make the payments before a cut-off time/date
• It was only after a mutual agreement we provided the Post -Dated cheques to Mr Sheran as the entry-fees; there was absolutely no formal or informal notice we had about a cut-off day, before which the teams should have paid this (If had been so, there is no reason that we won't pay before the date). Also, we noted that even during the tournament on-going more teams tried to be on-boarded by the administration
• It was absolutely unacceptable and inconvenient as a team to believe (or to arrange the payment for the second time) after Mr Sheran sending us a message at 9.52 PM, 12th September asking to make a deposit as the entry-free (instead of the cheques) before 10.00AM which is next morning, 13th September, whereas there was no mention about entry-fees at all by any means before this occasion in this tournament
• According to Mr Sheran's email If the entry-fees are to be paid before the date where the final match (24th September) of the tournament is to be conducted, one of the major and critical concern that we have is, that, why Mr Sheran asked us to make the payment in a random day which is the next morning with just one night's notice? This is not acceptable and matching by all means
• On the other hand, during this same time (while our cheques being collected) as our previous email denotes, our players have been continuously asked to pay the quarter-final match on the Friday (or Monday; Not the agreed weekend) by Mr Sheran which we rejected, which eventually we think caused us to be disqualified by the administration though they are emending some other reason related to entry-fees which is invalid and not relevant at all.
• It's not possible to understand these untold, untruthful and mismatching facts will lead to disqualify a team by the administration of the tournament, which we think we do not deserve for
There is absolutely no issue for Heshan Club about the jerseys this time for which we have already made the payments. We would like to remind during the 2nd LMS tournament (where Josh was also in Sri Lanka), where our team was given 8 jerseys by Sheran which Mr Sheran requested to return back after the tournament which we couldn't as it was too late after the tournament was over. Then, the administration had reduced the price of these jerseys by the final price money which we had to be presented as Champions (which we got after a long while the tournament was over). So, we had only the remaining amount in that year. We do not regret at all due to these actions, but brings a disappointment.
To let you know that we at Heshan Flexe's have been playing Cricket by our hearts representing our cooperation as a non-profit activity and has been no intention to gain any money or financial input to us through cricket. Same did stand for LMS tournament as well. It was just that we all decided no point of bearing up all the misconducts and favorations happening during this tournament and look for a justice to our team.
Finally, we have seen so many other corruption (or related) too in the LMS administration such as,
• Having the players who play the tournament and officially disqualified players in the administrative committee as its members, etc, which brings overall trust down about the tournament by its teams
• Compromising the confidence we have had towards LMS committee without all the original members in it other than Mr Sheran (within less than one year)
• Changing the quarter-final schedule very rapidly for 3 times, once even after we’ve sent you all our first email (Ex : Please check the attachments herewith)
Last by not least, Please note that it was originally said that these quarter-finals could not be facilitated during this weekend and made our team disqualified as we didn't agree, and now we heard that all these matches being played during the weekend without any issue. How is this possible?
Please also note that, we still haven't got any responsible response for our concerns or a justification by a responsible party. We would like to ask for official actions with this regard as soon as possible; upon failing we will do further continue the legal actions being carried out at our end for all the concerns we have presented to this audience with evidences.
Thanking you all of you.
