Another gifted young basketball player who can one day take SL to a new level.
I have seen Lohan when he was around 8 years playing basketball and being coached by his Dad basketball crazy Nalaka Rupasinghe old boy of Wesly College. Lohan learned his basics from Dili Nuwan Wijesinghe when he was based in Sharjah. Lohan played for Philippine basketball club and his school team in Cambridge International in Dubai. Just look at the experience he already has at the age of 13 years.

Dear SL U16 team, After being drawn in to the toughest group in the U16 FIBA Asia (With Australia - rank 1, Lebanon- Rank 4 and India - Rank 5 as per the last FIBA Asia U16 in 2022) you guys fought back and gained valuable first hand experience in the highest possible level for any Sri Lankan cager, and you got this opportunity at a very young age.
Now there is a much larger and a greater responsibility on your shoulders. It’s how each one of you can capitalize and build on to be that dream athlete you want to be in future, say how you would like to see yourself after 5 years time. Your path is going to be tough, and you have to sacrifice lot of things to achieve that ultimatum. But Nothing is impossible and it’s you and only you who can make it happen. All of you also have to realize that now there is the next generation of kids who are looking up to you in Sri Lanka. So be that change the Sri Lanka basketball needs, and achieve something unique and special in basketball. All the very best to all the team members.
