Virat Kohli Is Not Done Yet ๐ซก
For more than a decade, Virat Kohli has been the face of modern limited-overs cricket. Records, centuries, pressure chases โ he has done it all. But the big question remains: how long will he continue?
With Test and T20I cricket already behind him, ODIs are the only international format left for Kohli. Many believed his time was almost over after a long break and a tough Australia tour.
But Kohli had other plans.
Instead of stepping away, he chose to go back to domestic cricket. The Vijay Hazare Trophy is not a stage for comfort โ it is a stage for commitment. And Kohli showed exactly why champions think differently.
India has no shortage of talent. The team could easily move on and plan for 2027 without him. Kohli has earned enough, won enough, and achieved almost everything. Retirement would have been the easy choice.
Yet one dream remains unfinished.
Kohli has never lifted an ODI World Cup as the main batter of the team.
2011 came as a young supporting act.
2015, 2019, and 2023 ended in heartbreak โ especially the final at home.
That loss still burns.
After being written off during his lowest moments, Kohli responded the only way he knows โ with runs.
74*, 135, 102, 65* โ numbers that speak louder than opinions.
Then came the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Playing for Delhi, chasing 299 against Andhra, Kohli produced a classic: 131 off 101 balls, full of control, intent, and hunger. Delhi won comfortably, but the message was bigger than the result.
Virat Kohli is not playing for form.
He is playing for 2027.
This is what greatness looks like โ going back to the basics, respecting domestic cricket, and proving again that hunger never fades.
Virat Kohli is not finished.
He is preparing.
