The Sri Lanka Junior Match Play Championship 2026, sponsored by Perera & Sons, came to a thrilling close, showcasing the talent, determination and fighting spirit of the next generation of Sri Lankan golfers.

From the Gold Division to the Copper Division, our young golfers battled it out with skill and sportsmanship, producing some memorable matches along the way.

It is with profound sadness that Sri Lanka Golf announces the passing of Mr. Suresh Subramaniam.

A respected leader, passionate sportsman, and dedicated advocate for the growth of golf among the less fortunate in Sri Lanka. Suresh served the game with distinction, integrity and vision. His unwavering commitment to developing the sport and creating opportunities for future generations has left a lasting legacy that will be remembered for years to come.

Our heartfelt condolences are extended to his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

May his soul rest in peace.
