Moment Binul Nethaka reached his second 100 in the Under 15 Division 3 season against Uva College Badulla at Badulla Central College Ground on 8th August 2026. Looking forward to see plenty more innings like this in coming matches.

Thomians missed an outright win to badlight with 20 minutes left in the days play.

After winning the toss Thomain captain eleted to bat first. Skipper Binul and Sadev put record breaking 236 runs for the 1st wicket. Only way that opening stand got broken by a run out. Sadev was run out for 45. Lost the next wicket in the very next over. For the 3rd wicket Binul and Sasanka added 75 runs. Binul got out in the last over of the allocated overs for fantastic 171. Thomain finished the 50 overs for 320 for 3 while Sasanka was unbeated on 51.

In reply, Uva College came to bat after long day in the field and Thomain bowlers didn't gave any freebies to score runs. Opening bowlers picked up early 3 wickets for 18 and spinners came and did pick the rest of the batters for 50 runs. Uva College bowled out for 68 in the 20th over.

Thomains gave a follow on and asked Uva College to bat again. Once again, Thomain bowlers continued to pick wickets from the start. Uva College middle order batters played some aggressive cricket to get score board moving. Yet pressure given by the bowlers stopped the scoring consistently. Uva College was 99 for 8 and umpires called badlight with 20 minutes left in the day.

Thomain bowlers did the majority of the work to get a superb win against Dharmadutha College Badulla.

S. Thomas' captain won the toss and invited Dharmadutha to bat first. Dharmadutha started well and score was 52 for 1 before spinners took the control of the match. Spinners took rest of the wickets for just 36 runs. Dharmadutha bowled out for 88.

In reply, Thomains Openers Sadew and Binul put 60 runs for the first wicket. Thomains batters played some poor shots to get themselves out and was 84 for 7. Low order added important runs and went pass the Dharmadutha first inning score and got a first inning win. Thomians bowled out for 115 in the 36th over.

Dharmadutha came to bat 27 runs behind and took the lead in the 3rd over of the inning. Played aggressively and was 43 for 1 after 9 overs. Jenura and Matheesha had other idea. Continue picking up wickets and shared 9 wickets between them and bowled Dharmadutha out for 76.

Thomains needed 50 runs to win in the 7 overs that left from the allocated overs per day. Thilakshana played a superb match winning inning with the bat by adding unbeaten 32 runs in just 17 balls. Thomians chase down the target with 10 balls in hand.

Moment Binul Nethaka reached his maiden school career 100 in an Under 15 Division 3 fixture against Haliela Central College at College Ground on 13th July 2026. Looking forward to see plenty more innings like this in coming matches.

Under 15 'B' team started the Division 3 campaign with a first innngs win against HaliEla Central College.

HaliEla Central College captain won the toss and elected to bat first. Thomain bowlers kept things in control with some good bowling in very high scoring conditions at the College ground. Thomian bowlers didn't gave any easy opportunities to score runs and bowled out HaliEla for 107 in 37.3 overs.

Thomians started pretty well by putting 56 runs for the first wicket by Sadew and Binul. Lost three wickets in quick session. Thomain were 89 for 3 when skipper Binul and Thilakshana put a record partnership of 136 runs for the 4th wicket. Binul Nethaka scored his madien 100 and Thilakshana was unbeaten 66 at tea. Thomains declared at the tea break with a 118 runs lead.

HaliEla Central came out to bat for the second time with a plan to bat out the days play. Small contributions kept score board moving yet HaliEla was in trouble 89 for 6 before Lakshan played some aggressive cricket with the help form low order batters. HaliEla bowled out in the last over of the day for 153.

Thomians settled with a first inning win against Royal College Monaragala.

Thomian captain won the toss and invited Royal to bat first. Royal lost 3 early wickets for 57 runs on the board. For the 4th wicket Oshada and Desadu added 67 to get scoreboard to a competitive score. Thomian bowlers picked rest of the wickets without giving easy opportunities to score. Royal College bowled out for 175 just after Lunch break.

In reply,Thomians lost 2 early wickets 25 runs on the board. Few small partnership got the momentum towards Thomians. Yohan contributed with supetb 44 runs. Thomains were 96 for 5 before unbeaten 90 runs partnership put on by Livesh and Pravesh. Thomians declared soon after reaching the Royal 1st inning score.

With 13 overs left in the day, Thomians wanted to get some wickets before end of days play. Royal manage to bat the overs by adding some runs to the attacking field set by Thomians. Royal finished the day 57 for 2.

Kegalu Vidyalaya Kegalle chase down the target with ease against 10 men Thomians.

S. Thomas' captain won the toss and elected to bat first to regain some confidence. Small partnership from start to end and only good partnership of 30 runs came for the 5th wicket by Adeesh and Anuhas. No other partnership went pass 20 runs. Thomians only had 9 wickets for the inning and Thomains bowled out for 111 in the 27th over.

In reply, Kegalu Vidyalaya lost 2 early wickets for 17 runs. Yalitha and Migara put 89 runs for the 3rd wicket to get close to the target. Yalitha scored the winning runs with a boundary and went pass his 50.

Dudley Senanayake College patient batting inning helped bowlers to defend against the low in confidence Thomians.

Dudley Senanayake captain won the toss and elected to bat first in sunny conditions. Dudley Senanayake opening pair was so patient and they put 51 runs in 20 overs. Thomians kept batters quiet yet small partnership helped Dudley Senanayake to get 147 runs in 50 overs.

In reply, Thomians lost an early wicket at 7 runs on the board. Few small partnership got scoreboard moving and Thomians lost regular wickets to poor situation handling. Thomians were 42 for 4 when Rehan and Adeesh got together and added 55 runs for the 5th wicket. Adeesh got out first then Rehan got out to a poor umpiring decision and score was 99 for 6. Very inexperience middle to low order batters tried thier best to get the scoreboard close to the target. Thomians fell 17 runs short from the target.
