Beirut & Mount Lebanon Qualifications

The Lebanese Chess Federation organized the Beirut & Mount Lebanon Qualifications from 21–26 May at Shamieh Academy and .

A total of 15 players qualified, including 4 Shamieh players:
🏆 Tarek Saad
🏆 Cybele Nabhan
🏆 Karim Abu Hjeili
🏆 Mohamad Hussein Younis

Tarek claimed 1st place with a perfect 6/6 score, while Cybele impressed everyone with her sharp and dynamic play!

The final qualification stage will take place from 1–10 June at Keshmat center, featuring 10 qualified Shamieh players out of 60 total players.

Best of luck to all players in the upcoming challenges!

باستضافة جامعة AUST – صيدا، أقام الاتحاد اللبناني للشطرنج بطولة تصفيات الجنوب للشطرنج الكلاسيكي (70 دقيقة + 30 ثانية لكل لاعب) بين 18 و24 أيار 2026، بمشاركة 19 لاعبًا ولاعبة.

بعد خمس جولات اتسمت بالحماس والمنافسة القوية، نجح الناشئ محمد حبنجر (مواليد 2015) في إحراز المركز الأول بالعلامة الكاملة، محققًا 5 انتصارات من 5 دون أي تعادل أو خسارة، في إنجاز يؤكد موهبته وقدرته على منافسة كبار الرقعة.

وحلّ البطل الواعد علي أسعد في المركز الثاني، يليه كمال توتنجي ثالثًا، ثم الناشئ أحمد قدسي رابعًا، متقدمًا بفارق كسر التعادل على الياس شمعون صاحب المركز الخامس بعد تساويهما بالنقاط.

وتأهل أصحاب المراكز الأربعة الأولى (وجميعهم من نادي الشامية) إلى التصفيات النهائية المقررة بين 1 و10 حزيران، حيث سينضمون إلى المتأهلين من مختلف المناطق وإلى اللاعبين المتأهلين وفق نتائجهم وتصنيفهم، على أن يتأهل أصحاب المراكز العشرة الأولى إلى النهائيات.

باستضافة كريمة من جامعة AUST – صيدا، انطلقت تصفيات الجنوب الفردية المؤهلة إلى المرحلة النهائية من بطولة لبنان الفردية للشطرنج الكلاسيكي ٢٠٢٦.

تمتد البطولة الرسمية، التي ينظمها اتحاد اللعبة، حتى يوم الأحد ٢٤ أيار، بمعدل جولة واحدة يوميًا، ويشارك فيها ١٩ لاعبًا ولاعبة، يتأهل منهم ٢٠٪ إلى المرحلة الثانية.

وتأتي هذه التصفيات ضمن خطة الاتحاد للوصول إلى أفضل نسخة ممكنة من البطولة، بما يضمن تتويج بطل لبنان وفق أعلى مستويات المنافسة.

Moments from the LAU Alumni Beirut Chapter Rated Rapid Tournament organized by Shamieh Chess Academy at LAU.

With 200 participants competing in 9 rounds (Open) and 7 rounds (Age categories), the playing hall was filled with intense concentration and fighting spirit — all under the supervision of the Lebanese Chess Federation.

Seeing so many young talents competing at a rated event is a powerful sign that Lebanese chess has a strong and promising future.

باستضافة نادي بيروت بلدرز الليونزي ونادي الشامية، أقام الاتحاد اللبناني للشطرنج أول دورة حكم وطني NA حضوريًا من ٩ إلى ١٢ شباط بمشاركة ٢١ حكمًا وذلك في مركز الليونز- سن الفيل.
العمل على بناء كوادر تحكيمية تضاف إلى الفرق العاملة في الاتحاد هو خطوة ممتازة نحو ادارة البطولات بشكل مميز والدفع بالشطرنج اللبناني نحو الأمام.
