First and foremost, thank you to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for guiding my steps and blessing me with the strength and perseverance to walk this path.
Thank you to my family, my wife, my daughter, and my son, for every moment of support, patience, and love throughout this journey. Without you, this would not have been possible.
Today, standing next to Master Braga after being promoted to black belt, I’m filled with gratitude and reflection.
This has been a road built step by step, day by day, year by year.
Jiu-Jitsu, like life, is a test of will, determination, and perseverance. It's about showing up even when the path feels endless, about trusting the process when the rewards seem far away.
When you look at the numbers, it’s even clearer;
Only about 10% of people who start Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ever reach blue belt.
And of those, only about 1% will continue the journey all the way to black belt.
Today, I’m humbled to be part of that 1%.
Even more so, I’m honored to stand under the lineage of Master Braga, a true master of the art and an incredible mentor. I’m deeply thankful for every teaching, every lesson, and every ounce of support he gave me along the way.
This black belt isn’t a finish line, it’s a new beginning.
The journey continues.
