In archery (especially at long distances):

The legs and stance are very important for stability.
Any small movement from below has a bigger effect the farther the distance gets.
Leg fatigue after a long time is normal because the body is holding a fixed position.
The shoulders and arms are important for accuracy, but without a strong base from the legs, accuracy becomes weaker.

To clarify:
It does not mean the legs are more important than the shoulders, but the whole body is one system. However, at long distances, any weakness in stability from below becomes more noticeable.
