One of the most colourful birds to visit Lebanon, the Bee-eater migrates through the whole country from April to June, and again in August through to early November. You often hear this species before you see it. It has a spectacular plumage, with a yellow throat and blue underparts, ideally suited to catching bees and other large insects.
