If I can drop a dollar for every time I was asked: “when are you going back to teach again?” I swear a God I could buy a new car with that money! For a society that only appreciates women when they have babies, it sure doesn’t create a supportive meaningful environment for them.
Here I am saying that I have willingly decided to take some time to raise Leona, to be with her in those early years, because truthfully, the world doesn’t need more people, the world need more good people, properly raised, given attention, love and care! And looking around me, only those broken adults with childhood wounds eager to see another child living independently at such little age, and I just ask why? Why are we asking from our babies to develop an emotional independency while we, as adults, can’t even do that?
I do not treat my motherhood as an interruption, it’s a new chapter, it’s a new book.
And I know that a lot of women are doing the same, and probably feel alone for taking those difficult decisions, but know that you are not alone mamas! All the love!

Yesterday, a video by آدم بكري landed on my feed. He was talking about how our parents and grandparents used to say, “كل الناس فيها خير وبركة.” Not because everyone is perfect, but because choosing those words is choosing to look for the goodness in people before anything else.
Hearing it reminded me how much the language we use shapes the way we experience the world. When we expect kindness, we notice it more. When we believe there is goodness in people, we approach them with more openness, patience, and compassion.
It doesn’t mean we ignore reality or pretend everyone has good intentions. It simply means we refuse to let cynicism become our default.
Maybe that’s a small piece of wisdom worth bringing back, maybe, we should start seeing the world again the way our children see it, ignorant, innocent and kind.
