PACE Lebanon Program

PACE Lebanon Program PACE targets beneficiaries across the country, with a particular focus on youth, women, and vulnerable groups.

Promoting Active Citizen Engagement (PACE) is a USAID-funded program launched in October 2011 to strengthen Lebanese civil society capacity to act as a catalyst for change through civic advocacy and participation. The PACE program provides grants, technical assistance, and training to Lebanese civil society organizations (CSOs) to support activities that enhance citizenship values, social entrepre

neurship, and public awareness of citizen concerns and policy issues. It works with and through Lebanese CSOs that are committed to non-partisan, non-confessional approaches to civic engagement.

بدعم من الوكالة الاميركية للتنمية الدولية، أطلقت مجموعة Help for Leb أول منصة في لبنان للتمويل الجماعي أو لحشد التمويل للقضايا العامة. وتسعى المجموعة الى توجيه التبرعات المالية من الشتات اللبناني الى القضايا الاجتماعية والبيئية والإنسانية والمنظمات غير الحكومية في لبنان. المنصة، التي تقدم امكانية التبرع عبر الإنترنت بشكل آمن، تجمع حاليا مجموعة من 14 منظمة غير حكومية و 7 قضايا. أما مجالات التركيز فهي متنوعة وتشمل تمكين الشباب، وحماية الطفل، والسلامة على الطرق، والحفاظ على البيئة.

Back in June, with USAID support, Help for Leb launched Lebanon’s first crowdfunding platform dedicated to public causes. Help for Leb seeks to channel financial donations from the vast Lebanese diaspora to social, environmental, and humanitarian causes and NGOs in Lebanon. The platform, which enables secure online donations, currently features an initial pool of 14 NGOs and 7 causes. Areas of focus are diverse and include youth empowerment, child protection, road safety, and environmental conservation.

HelpForLeb.com is a crowd-funding website for social, humanitarian &environmental causes across Lebanon that benefits individuals, communities & NGO's.
