Control is knowing which muscles to engage and how to activate them.

Precision is knowing when and how to use those muscles to create an intentional, efficient movement while improving postural alignment.

In this position, the inner thighs are engaged to keep the legs together. The hamstrings and glutes work with the abdominals to stabilize the pelvis, while the abdominals also play an additional role in flexing the spine from the sacrum upward.

At the same time, the scapulae are gently depressed, keeping the shoulders away from the ears and allowing the neck muscles to relax.

This level of control and precision improves body awareness and movement efficiency, while helping you move with greater awareness and alignment.
