LFF ‘Learning in Action’ framework helps coaches create the perfect learning environment for players. This framework is a collaborative effort between the coach and the players, ensuring that learning doesn't happen in a vacuum. While the coach frames, guides, and challenges the environment, the player actively explores and consolidates the skills.
Rather than relying on highly prescriptive, repetitive drills where players copy a set solution, this approach centers on two core dynamics:
1. Players are the Decision-Makers
True learning happens when players actively explore the pitch. Our goal is to develop players who can independently read the game and adapt to changing match demands, rather than just reproducing a coach's answer.
2. Coaches are Environment Designers
Instead of giving direct instructions or predetermined coaching points, coaches manipulate the environment. By altering pitch sizes, adjusting rules, or changing player numbers, the coach shapes a representative setting where the game itself guides the learning.
Connecting what they see with how they react;
This deliberate environmental design promotes a natural link between sight and action. Players constantly practice looking at the game (perceiving opportunities) and immediately executing their own choices (acting). As shown in the cycle, each learning experience directly informs the next, building adaptable and intelligent players.
