We Found a Hidden Waterpark Near Bangkok That Most Foreigners Never Discover! 🇹🇭🌊

We thought we were just visiting another waterpark... but this turned into one of our favourite family days out in Thailand!

Hidden in the middle of a rice field, this incredible floating waterpark has a real sandy beach, crystal clear water and best of all... **it's FREE to enter!**

Things didn't exactly go to plan though. 😅

First, I realised I'd forgotten my ID, which you normally need to rent a life jacket. Luckily, the staff kindly made an exception.

Then I remembered I'd also forgotten my hat! As a bald bloke under the Thai sun, that wasn't going to end well, so buying a new hat became my next mission. 😂

After that, Sophia and I spent the day climbing, jumping, sliding and laughing our way around the giant floating obstacle course.

It's amazing that places like this still exist just an hour from central Bangkok, yet so few tourists know about them.

One night of rain changed everything...

What started as a peaceful family camping trip on the banks of the Mae Klong River in Ratchaburi quickly became one of our most challenging camping experiences.

We spent the day fishing, relaxing by the river and enjoying time together as a family. The campsite was beautiful, quiet and perfect for the kids.

Then it rained.

By morning, the campsite had turned into thick mud and the only way out was a very steep embankment. With our truck's tyres packed with mud, there was a real chance we'd lose traction and slide backwards.

Ever been told you can’t go somewhere, only to realise that’s exactly where you need to be?

I spent months tracking the calendar for a rare opening of Khao Lom Muak, a peak hidden deep inside a restricted Royal Thai Air Force base. Most of the year, this mountain is strictly off limits. But for a few days each year, the military opens the gates.

The climb is intense, and the location is surreal, but the view of Ao Manao from the summit is arguably the best in Thailand.

I Accidentally Robbed a Lao Market 😬 (BIG MISTAKE)

🚨 I honestly didn’t expect our massive Lao family market run to turn into an accidental heist.

We went to a bustling market in Savannakhet to buy traditional ingredients for my brother-in-law's rural home blessing party. But between a chaotic shopping list and being constantly sent back to the car as the family's "pack mule," a massive mix-up happened...

I accidentally grabbed the wrong bags and walked entirely out of the market without paying for them! 🤦‍♂️

No Roads Out Here 🇱🇦 | Rural Laos Family Fishing

Three hours out from the Mekong, this is rural Laos as it really is—dusty tracks, rice fields, and no proper roads in.

We head off-road to our family fishing spot, using traditional net fishing to catch dinner. The kids get involved, the bucket fills up… and I end up taking a fall along the way.

I’m from England, but my wife’s family is from Laos. This is a normal day here—simple, real, and a bit rough around the edges.
