Harun Suriçi and Arzu Kulcu are Turkish tango dancers, performers, and instructors who
continue their tango journey with passion, discipline, artistry, and a strong emotional
connection.
Harun Suriçi began dancing tango nearly 13 years ago. After spending his first years
exploring tango as an amateur dancer, he realized that tango was not simply a hobby, but
a true form of expression and a way of life for him.
Arzu Kulcu was born and raised in Germany. She began her athletic journey at the age of
three with gymnastics and spent many years training intensively in artistic gymnastics.
Later, she transitioned into professional swimming and continued her athletic career for
nearly twenty years through intensive training programs and competitions.
For approximately five years, she worked as an instructor in modern ballet and modern
dance. Dance, rhythm, music, movement, and stage performance have always remained a
powerful form of expression in her life.
Her decision to start tango came shortly before the pandemic period. Although she had
always felt emotionally connected to tango, the intense schedule of professional swimming
training and competitions forced her to stop shortly after beginning. Soon after, the
pandemic interrupted that chapter completely.
After the pandemic, a friend invited her to attend a tango evening — a moment that
became one of the turning points of her life. That night, she met Harun Suriçi, and from
that moment on, her relationship with tango changed completely.
For the past three and a half years, Harun and Arzu have continued their tango journey
side by side — training, performing, competing, teaching workshops, group classes, and
private lessons together.
For them, tango is much more than a dance. Tango is life itself.

PEPA PALAZÓN
Tango Teacher & Musician
Pepa Palazón is a tango teacher, dancer, and musician. She graduated from the Superior
Conservatory of Music of Buenos Aires with a degree in Tango and Folklore. Her specialty is
teaching music to tango dancers through Musical Audioperception—learning music through
perception and movement.
Her musicality classes are 100% practical. Through dance, she explores the verticality of
music: studying the different musical lines that coexist in tango. Once dancers learn to hear
these lines, they can choose which one to follow—and how to interpret it in movement.
She guides students to separate those lines and teaches, with dance and concrete musical
examples, the essential rhythmic and melodic elements of traditional tango orchestras.
Tango DJ (TDj)
In addition to teaching, Pepa is also a renowned tango DJ. For over 8 years, she has
combined her conservatory training with her deep knowledge of tango to provide music for
dancers worldwide.
In Argentina, she has played at her own Viva la Pepa Milonga as well as in the most iconic
Buenos Aires venues: Villa Malcolm, El Beso, El Tábano, La Firulana, El Marsbú, among
others. She has also been featured at international festivals such as Little Women Tango
Festival and Lady’s Tango Festival.
In Europe, Pepa has been invited to DJ at major events like Oster Tango Festival (Basel,
Switzerland) and Heidelberg Tango Marathon (Germany). She has also provided music for
leading milongas across London, Milan, Munich, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Verona, Lisbon,
Frankfurt, Grenoble, and many more.
