Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation Chairman Attends Opening of New Wrestling Centre in Aktobe
AKTOBE, Kazakhstan — Chairman of the Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation Yerkin Okassov attended the official opening of a new state-of-the-art wrestling centre during a working visit to the Aktobe Region.
Designed to meet international standards, the facility is dedicated to Greco-Roman, freestyle, and women’s wrestling and is capable of accommodating up to 1,000 athletes simultaneously. The complex includes wrestling halls, strength and conditioning areas, medical and rehabilitation facilities, and all the necessary infrastructure to support the comprehensive development of athletes.
During the opening ceremony, Okassov congratulated the athletes and coaches on the launch of the new sports complex. On behalf of the Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation, he presented the centre with modern wrestling mats and essential training equipment to support the development of wrestling in the region.
The new facility is expected to play a significant role in strengthening wrestling in the Aktobe Region and creating opportunities for the next generation of Kazakh wrestlers to succeed on the international stage.
