2026 Grant Thornton Cayman U19s Men's XV - Jay McLeod

Representing the Cayman Islands U19 team has been one of the best experiences of my life. I first started playing rugby in Jamaica, and when I moved to Cayman, I honestly thought that part of my life was over because I had no idea rugby was even played here. Once I found the rugby community, I worked hard to earn a place on the national team, and getting the chance to represent the Cayman Islands internationally has been something I’m really proud of. Beyond rugby, this team has given me friendships and memories that I’ll always be grateful for. Balancing school, training, and competition hasn’t always been easy, but it’s taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of trusting both myself and my teammates. I’m thankful to Cayman Rugby for welcoming me and giving me the opportunity to wear the Cayman jersey. It’s a privilege I’ll never take for granted, and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow with this team and seeing what we can achieve together.
