🌎 Junior Pan Am Open Recap!
A few weeks ago, Kaylee, Chad, and Maxi represented Cayman at the Junior Pan Am Open in Bucaramanga, Colombia 🇨🇴 taking on some of the best young players from across the Americas.
Kaylee battled through a tough draw and finished strong, putting together an incredible comeback and a series of impressive wins over players from Chile, Brazil, and beyond to claim the 2nd Consolation Trophy!
Chad faced high-level opposition throughout the tournament, including the Pan American #4 seed, before fighting through two epic matches against Colombian opponents to reach the Plate Final, where he narrowly fell to a tough Mexican opponent.
Maxi’s first match presented a unique challenge as he adjusted to playing at altitude and to different playing conditions, while facing a talented local Colombian player. Despite the challenge, Maxi continued to compete and learn throughout the tournament, going onwards to battle players from Costa Rica and Bolivia.
Overall, it was a fantastic learning experience and a great opportunity for our players to compete internationally, challenge themselves, and represent Cayman on the Pan American stage. 🇰🇾💪
