What caused the injury? Truthfully I have no idea, 🤷🏽‍♀️

What I think really happened? I’ve always had really tight traps. Between years of weightlifting, holding stress and sitting at a desk.

My body had enough! The flare up was a reminder that I need to do a better job with my posture and using the correct muscles when training my back and upper body.

💡This means being more intentional with where the movement is initiating from.

My traps always try to take over, especially when I hit fatigue.

💡Being more diligent in incorporating these exercises throughout my training week.

Two days of upper body does not negate the five days a week I sit at my desk.

💡Get up and move and focus more on my posture more.

Using my walking pad is great, but getting up from the desk to stretch and just move around throughout the day is important too.

These exercises focus on lats, scapular movement, delts, serratus, and rhomboids. The more I can strengthen these areas the less tension there will be on the traps which will allow my neck to relax,

So save these exercises and use them if you notice your posture slipping, your traps taking over or you just need a good upper body day!

Thankful for these three, California “golden hour”, and this beautiful life we’re building.

Even though our family is on the opposite coast, there is so much to be grateful for and the opportunity to build our dream life and business is never something I’ll take for granted.

Anyone with kids knows vacationing never really feels relaxing but somehow we managed to tame 4 toddlers, keep 2 newborns happy, and treat ourselves at the same time.
