⭐️TEAM OF THE YEAR 2026⭐️
Association dinner 2026…what an unforgettable night. We had amazing turnout from our lovely laxxers and everyone looked positively dashing as they arrived at the Royal College. 🏫
We had multiple nominations across the club: Lamvien and Anika for fresher of the year, Jemima for sportsperson of the year, Amaan for Association Cup and the club for BOTH team of the year and club of the year.🏆
The evening started off with some awards, where our very own Jemima took home her nomination. We are so incredibly proud of her and can’t think of a more deserving person to win this title. Well done Jemima!🎉
Another massive well done to Anika for her success in winning Fresher of the Year, what a diva.💁♀️
Next we headed into the dining room for a delectable meal and more importantly, unlimited wine top ups. The meal was great but the tensions were building…was BL Lacrosse going to win an award…?👀
Just kidding, of course we were! Lacrosse was announced team of the year and the room erupted in applause. The pride we all felt walking up to the stage was immense, it was so satisfying seeing the club’s achievements be recognised after such an incredible year. We can’t celebrate BL Lacrosse without celebrating our amazing president Steph and captains Suhaani and Oscar, who led us though this year and ultimately won us this award. We are so grateful for you and the rest of our fantastic committee.❤️
Dessert was had in the glow of our win, and then the time came for more awards. A member who’s been with BL Lacrosse for many (MANY) years, Amaan, was called up to receive the Association cup in recognition of his contribution to Bart’s as a whole, which has been undeniable. We are so proud of you Amaan and will miss you a lot, along with our finalists Heli, Kiran, Chu, Ash and Jenny.
The party people of us then headed to Piano Works for a boogie to celebrate our wins. Shots were taken (both the alcoholic and the photographic kind) and fun was had by all 🤩
Overall, Association dinner was night to remember. We go again next year😌🥍
