The Japan 3-Day Summer Tong-Il Moo-Do Workshop at the Kiyama General Gymnasium in Saga Prefecture, Japan, from August 14-16, 2026, started yesterday and ends tomorrow. There are 18 participants from Japan, China, and the Philippines. The workshop’s theme is “Utmost Sincerity Moves Heaven” and includes lectures on TIMD Unification Philosophy, especially Family as the School of Love, and Universal Life Goals.
Grandmaster Dr. Takamitsu Hoshiko, the president of Japan Tong-Il Moo-Do Federation and the current International Co-President of the World Tong-Il Moo-Do Federation organized and led the workshop supported by the active parents of TIMD students in Fukuoka and Kumamoto City.
This workshop also emphasizes the meaning of the forms and the application of forms and techniques to various situations. The end of each day is marked by family-type sharing and reflections in line with the theme.
Other activities include early morning walks, exercises, and form or Bon performances with music, along with a brief emphasis on how they are actually done, part by part.
The participants enjoyed practicing, sparring, meals, and snacking together. Most of the participants expressed that they attended the workshop with the purpose of expanding friendships, improving interaction and communication skills, and mastering and enhancing their individual form and sparring techniques.
