Had a ball playing with Mr Nicholas Pimbert in the PGA Middlesex Par 3 Tournament at Dukes Meadows today. We managed to finish 3rd with some fine dove tailing! Easy to be inspired by such a well attired gentleman!

I recently won the Top Year 3 Assistant for The PGA in England (East) TGI Award. Here I am collecting my award from PGA Chairman, David Murchie at Bishops Stortford Golf Club. Very pleasing to add to my Year 1 and Year 2 awards and complete the collection!

Wyke Green Golf Club Beginners Golf Academy

Do you know a friend or family member who is a complete beginner, but is keen to get into golf? (Perhaps you are yourself!).

Even if they don't know which end of the club to hold or think a sandwedge should have cheese in it, our Beginners Academy provides the perfect introduction to the game for them. They will be able to how to play in a relaxed atmosphere with players of similar experience and ability.

Classes will cover every technical aspect of golf:

- Putting
- Chipping
- Pitching
- Bunker play
- Iron shots
- Driving

Participants will also learn about equipment, rules and etiquette. By the end of the course they will be armed with the skills, knowledge and experience to play on course and march onwards independently. What is more they will have a network of course mates to play with!

Classes will run every Saturday 14.30 - 16.30, from 7th May until 9th July.

The 10 week course comprising 20 hours of PGA tuition from Chris Hamilton and Chris Schrevel will cost £250.

There will be a maximum of 5 students per coach, so there will be plenty of attention given to each student. But don't hesitate, as space is limited.

Benross sets can also be hired for the course duration for a £200 deposit. Participants may keep these after the course concludes by relinquishing their deposit.
