I can’t remember when the first time I stepped on a mat was. I was that young. I’ve been grappling my entire life and it’s always something I’ve been able to immerse myself in and be apart of something.
Attached is a picture of me at 8 years old already competing. Followed by another of me getting my blue belt by BrianandStacey Katz in 2015; still a kid.
Now after years of commitment, hard work, and mental battles I’ve arrived at brown belt.
This past year of training I’ve grown so much. Training 5/6 days a week. More recently twice a day.
First I want to say thank you to everyone whose been a part of my journey so far. My Old man Daniel Pichirallo whose been there every step of they way. My coach in NJ Dennis Melone whose always been there and opens his gym to me and makes me feel like family. My Texas Coach and someone who I look up to Julian Godinez.
And finally, my two co-coaches Asa and Anthony DeLawrence who made this past year in Korea an unforgettable one. I can’t wait to go back stateside and share what I’ve learned from you guys on and off the mat.
I’ll make you guys proud.
Shoutout to Anthony Snipes because all of this wouldn’t of been possible without him.
Also shoutout to George Brown for being a part of my journey, I’ll never forget it.
And I can’t thank everyone at Cobra Kai / Camp Humphreys Jiu-Jitsu Gym enough. You guys made this year for me. You’re in great hands.
