I was fortunate to have been born and raised in beautiful Kenya before embarking on a varied and interesting career that has taken me all over the world, and back again. I qualified and worked as a Chartered Physiotherapist in UK, including spending 8 exciting years serving as a Physiotherapist in the British Army. For most of my physiotherapy career I specialized in gym based rehabilitation, deve
loping a particular interest in Pilates and Women’s Health. In 2004 my husband Tony and I made a life changing decision to return “home” to Kenya with our daughter Savanna to run our own diving and sailing business. Despite a few trials and tribulations along the way this developed into a second career in tourism and conservation. In 2016 Savanna started university in Australia, beginning a whole new chapter in our lives, prompting me to retrain in Pilates and open my own Pilates Studio in Nanyuki, where we live. I am grateful everyday for my Physiotherapy background and for taking the initiative all those years ago to do my Pilates training, it’s so liberating to be working for myself and doing something I really enjoy. I have lived an amazing life and I totally understand the continual balancing act of being a Mum, a Wife, a Sister, a Business owner, a Friend and also finding time for Me. I don’t always get it right but I am learning to understand the importance of taking care of me and listening to my body.
