Team AMANI We are an international cycling team of cyclists
concerned with more than just winning bike races.

It feels good to be back racing, doing what we love. But it’s not that simple behind the scenes.

Our riders and staff have had a lot more on their minds.

AMANI means peace in Swahili. It’s something the team stands for and is proud to represent especially in times like this.

Our riders did that today, racing aggressively in an international field with everyone back home in Ethiopia in mind.

spent the day in the breakaway, which held off the peloton until the final 11km lap and acted as a spring board for the eventual winner, it wasn’t enough for Mersit to hold on for a top 10, but a strong aggressive ride nonetheless.

Special mention to who participated in her first European race whilst representing her new Ethiopian national championship jersey.

The Ethiopian calendar runs seven years behind the Gregorian, so while the rest of the world waits for January, Ethiopia begins again today. A new year, a new start - traditions inherited long before any of us picked up a bike.
