As the curtain gradually falls on the 2025β2026 Kiambu Aquatics Swimming League season, we do so with immense gratitude and satisfaction, reflecting on a journey defined by determination, sportsmanship and steady progress in our pursuit of excellence.
Throughout the season, swimmers from across the county and beyond have demonstrated remarkable commitment in the pool, producing inspiring performances and embracing the values that make our sport uniqueβdiscipline, resilience, respect and fair competition. Every race contested, every personal best achieved and every lesson learned has contributed to the continued growth of competitive swimming within our region.
This season's success is a testament to the collective effort of athletes, coaches, technical officials, clubs, parents, volunteers and partners whose unwavering support has strengthened the foundation upon which Kiambu Aquatics continues to build. We extend our sincere appreciation to Swim Safe Kenya, Genesis Sports Limited and Kenya Swimming TV for standing alongside us and contributing meaningfully to the advancement of swimming.
As we set our sights on the seasons ahead, our ambition remains clear: to create an environment where talent can flourish, where young swimmers can pursue their dreams with confidence, and where excellence in the water is matched by character beyond the pool deck. We also welcome corporate partners and well-wishers who share this vision to join us in shaping the future of Kenyan swimming.
The league will conclude with a fitting celebration at the prestigious Zetech University Amphitheatre, where we shall honour outstanding achievements across the season. Recognition will be accorded not only to top-performing athletes, but also to the coaches, officials, clubs, parents and supporters whose contributions often take place away from the spotlight yet remain indispensable to the success of our sport. In a commendable gesture of support for swimming development, Genesis Sports Limited has committed KSh 100,000 in cash awards alongside sports merchandise and other prizes to celebrate excellence and dedication.
Before we bring this memorable season to a close, attention now turns to the Kiambu Aquatics Minnows Gala, scheduled for Saturday, 13 June, at Potterhouse School. This event offers young swimmers an invaluable opportunity to test their skills, gain competitive experience and continue their development in a supportive and professionally managed environment. We warmly invite clubs and teams from across the country to participate.
Sanctioned by Kenya Aquatics, the gala also serves as a qualifying competition for the Kenya Aquatics National Junior Swimming Championships set for August in Nanyuki, adding further significance to what promises to be an exciting day of racing and talent identification.
To every swimmer who stepped onto the starting block, every coach who guided from poolside, every parent who offered encouragement from the stands and every official who ensured fair and safe competition, we extend our heartfelt appreciation. Your contribution has made this season memorable and has reinforced our belief that the future of swimming in Kenya is bright.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Minnows Gala and to celebrating together at the season's awards ceremony as we honour achievement, nurture potential and continue building a stronger swimming community.
