Football is fast becoming a tech first sport. Yes it's innovative and comes with undeniable benefits. But on the other side, the spirit of the game is being eroded fast.

🚨 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪: The ball for the 2026 World Cup needs to be plugged in and charged before kick off.

• The balls have a sensor that tracks its precise location every time that it's touched.

• For the 2022 World Cup, the sensor hanged in wires inside the ball, but now it's part of one of the balls panels.

• The data is paired with 12 cameras around the stadiums to track the precise location of the ball and every player 50 times every second.

• This data is transmitted live to VAR, and will be used to determine goal line technology and offsides.

• The sensor is extremely lightweight, unnoticeable for the players, and the battery lasts for up to 6 hours.

Something to chew on!!

The Uefa champions league final scheduled for this Saturday 30th of may 2026.Here is what to know:

WHO WILL BE PLAYING?
Paris Saint-Germain will face Arsenal in the 2026 Champions League final. Holders Paris are bidding to become only the second club in the Champions League era to successfully defend their title after Real Madrid, who won three in a row between 2016 and 2018. The Gunners, runners-up in 2006, are seeking to become the 25th club to lift the trophy and the second new winners in succession after Paris' 2025 triumph.

WHERE WILL IT BE PLAYED ?
The host venue in Budapest, Hungary, is an ultra-modern, 67,215-seat stadium built directly on the footprint of its iconic predecessor [uefa.com].
Originally the Népstadion "People's Stadium" held over 100,000 fans at its peak. It was the fortress for Hungary's legendary "Golden Team" of the 1950s, captained by Ferenc Puskás. It is where Hungary handed England its worst-ever defeat (7-1) in 1954.
It was renamed the Ferenc Puskás Stadium in 2002to honour his 75th birthday. Following Puskás's death in 2006, tens of thousands of fans gathered on the pitch to pay their final respects.
After a total demolition in 2016, the new arena opened on 15 November 2019. Designed by György Skardelli, it explicitly honors the old layout by incorporating recycled concrete and retaining the original historic brick pylons at the entrance.
Elite Venue Status: It has quickly become one of UEFA's premier choices, previously hosting Euro 2020 matches, the 2020 UEFA Super Cup, and the 2023 Europa League Final.

KICK OFF?
30th may 2026 1900hrs East African time

FUN FACT:
It will be the first final contested by clubs from two capital cities in the UCL era(Paris and London

When we first launched, the goal was to have a boys and girls football team. Despite multiple efforts the latter proved to be much harder.

But now things are different. When this group of girls from Thunguma Youth Empowerment Center requested a training session several weeks ago, we figured it'd be a one time thing.

But this group is different. They're consistent. Always on time and eager to learn.

Though not official yet, we may soon be launching the Beyond the Ball girls team Emily Wairimu Mwangi
