Dear cycling community, friends, family and well wishers, we would like to invite you all to gather with us on the 1st and 2nd of September at Nyayo stadium to celebrate and mourn our fallen hero Sule Kangangi
We hope that the memorial services will give us a chance to meet as a community and mourn together. It is from this meeting that we hope to hear from you and see how we can combine efforts and ensure that we give our hero the send-off he deserves. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow or Friday! Let's send Sule Kangangi off in style!

Here is an update on Sule's journey so far.
1. There's a small group that has been identified to help ensure the funeral arrangements are going on well. The committee is in constant communication with Sule's family, Team Amani, the Ministry of Sports and culture as well as the Embassy in the USA, media outlets as well as other key offices/persons.

2. Sule's body will be repatriated to Nairobi on 3rd September and is scheduled for arrival in Nairobi on 5th September at 8:20 pm.
3. Sule's body will lie at Lee Funeral Home that night
4. A memorial ride/ celebration of life will be held in Nairobi with and viewing held at Nyayo Stadium. Details of the celebration shall be discussed and agreed upon on the 1st and 2nd of September, at Nyayo stadium during the memorials.
5. Sule's body will then be dispatched to Eldoret in preparation for his final journey. Preparations in Eldoret are also ongoing to help the family be able to receive Sule as well as the guests they shall be receiving.

We understand that there are a lot of questions that need answers, but for now let's all come together and see how we can work together to ensure all the legs of Sule's final journey are successful.

We can't end this post without saying a huge thank you to the Ministry of Sports and Culture as well as the Kenyan Embassy in USA for all they were able to do so far. Thank you so much.
