Sleeping outside when you have a tent!
Let me tell you a story of a guy that slept outside in the cold when he actually had a tent. Reason being:
Fast forward to the camp day and off they went. You know the excitement that comes with camping for those die-hards! Oooh, it was a perfect day, perfect weather, perfect company and a perfect plot! The roads were clear and cruising happened so flawlessly.
Camp was welcoming and all clean and quite picturesque, I must say. So they set up the pit first!!! Biggest mistake! I will tell you later why. And so meal prep started and drink started flowing, a glass after another. Nyamchom was coming up slow and sure, just the Kenyan way. Aaaaah, wasn't it a perfect evening!!!
The sun had already set by this time and so the bonfire showed off like a boss. It was magical...heart was happy - the kind of moments you want to never end. Good vibes, games here and there, jokes galore...and good food and drinks. This was gonna be a day to remember for a long time.
Flash forward, it is at 0200hrs. Everyone had retired one after the other for the night. But our guy? Our guy was the last man standing! Had he drank enough to put up his tent? Your guess is as good as mine!!!
He woke up to the stinging cold of the morning, just beside the fire pit that kept him warm till it couldn't anymore.
So, whenever you decide to go camping, the first thing to do when you arrive at the campsite should be to set up camp, by pitching your tent and laying your bedding: and remember to always zip down the tent for any crawlies and insects. He he- I will give you another story in another post.
Anyhow these manual tents go for 8000/= only. We are at St Ellis House on Wabera Street, Nairobi, on the 6th floor, second door on your right. Contact us on 0710720523.
