Programs:
Phoenix FC Academy philosophy is to develop the complete player. Our Programs highly focus on improving individual technique, as well as developing tactical awareness and an understanding of the game as well as leadership skills for each player and across all the age groups. Towards this end, we have developed suitable training programs for players between the ages of 5 years and 15 years by developing competitive teams U5-U15 in line with international standards and practices. Each year we form teams and place them at the level best suited to developing each individual and team’s technical and tactical awareness. Players will after going through the academy’s programs:
▪ Make significant improvements to their individual technique and tactics (individual player development)
▪ Acquire the rhythm and intensity of the game at a high international level (physical and technical skill development)
▪ Learn to play with intelligence and focus (tactical skill development)
▪ Learn to effectively assimilate team tactics (team development)
Each team currently trains every Saturday from 8am to 1pm at the Academy’s training grounds situated at Faith Ventures Christian Academy, Garden Estate, off Thika Road. Camps and Clinics:
Phoenix FC Academy camps and clinics are designed as a series of training sessions that allow our staff to better evaluate players over a longer period of time. Our staff create a fun, challenging and rewarding atmosphere for all players to receive the highest coaching instruction while developing their football skills. In addition the academy partner with the local community by designing camps and clinics aimed at transforming the surrounding communities. Competitions, League and Tournaments:
At Phoenix FC Academy, We expose our players to both local and international competitions, leagues and tournaments on a regular basis, to enable them to showcase their skills to a vast audience, with the potential of securing future opportunities with professional clubs. Coaching and Referees:
All our teams have a designated head coach and an assistant coach who are selected based on their experience and knowledge of the game. Volunteer Opportunities:
Our soccer programs have attracted volunteers who have also enabled us to improve the experience for each player. The volunteers work for free and under the guidance of the coaches. The academy encourages the young players to learn the importance of academic education, enabling them to secure their future within or after football. We have established partnerships and collaborations that allow the young players to seamlessly integrate into professional football play, careers in sports as well as community leaders. School Programs: Phoenix FC Academy FC has developed a school soccer program where we partner with schools where we train their school going students in a professional and fun way. This training guarantees such players an average of about 7-8 hours per week, which makes a good foundation for quickly developing skills in soccer. Sports Scholarships and Careers in Sports: Phoenix FC Academy has also partnered with institutions of higher learning through the award of sports scholarships for outstanding sportsmen, careers in sports and journalism as well as the use of facilities. Donations and Sponsorships:
As an academy, our primary goal is to transform lives through football. The Academy offers sponsorships to talented children from humble backgrounds. We also try to maintain reasonable fees, to enable access by a wider group of children. There are a number of ways that you can support the club. The first one is through financial donations and the second one is by developing a partnership between the academy and your organisation towards our events (sponsor an event), our teams (sponsor our team through travel, uniform etc) and our programs.
