ABOUT US:
Name: samma (martial
art)
Focus: hybrid (striking and
grappling)
Gi(uniform) : Blue for
students,
yellow for blackbelt
instructors and Red for
senior instructors. All gis
are without slits. Country of origin: Kenya
Samma is a Kenyan
Martial Art which
combines
self defense, combat
sports (usually MMA
type),
and physical fitness
program. Samma is
acronym
of Society of African
Mixed Martial

Arts that
was
formed in mid month of
March year 2011 and
by November 2012 it had
fully developed its
own unique syllabus of
techniques and ranking
requirements plus the
constitution for it's
members. The syllabus
has noticeable and
distinctive use of word
CHAIN which denotes a
long
and complex pattern of
martial movements
learnt in sections from
the second level (orange
belt) and completed in
third degree blackbelt
syllabus. In August 2013
WORLD SAMMA
FEDERATION (WSF) was
founded to cater for
samma exponents
worldwide. And the
history
continues unabated.
