In His infinite mercy, Allah has sent the light of Ramadan to erase the night. He has sent the month of the Qur’an so that He might elevate us and bring us from our isolation to His nearness.
The philosophy of fasting calls upon us to know ourselves, to master ourselves, and to discipline ourselves the better to free ourselves. To fast is to identify our dependencies, and free ourselves from them.’
O Allah, allow us to witness Ramadhan, benefit from it, use it to earn your mercy, and emancipation from the Fire.
Make this Ramadan the turning point in your life. break free from the deceptions of this world and indulge into the sweetness of Iman.
I wish you a blessed and prosperous Ramadan.
May Allah give you all the happiness and success and guide you to the right path.

Today a year older and a year wiser.
I start by being utterly grateful for my full life and the people around me that have stood with me.

My beautiful family without whom I would not be who I am today.

It's amazing and very special when you truly understand who you are, your purpose in life and who deserves your time and energy.
This last year taught me all that and more.

I learned to stop worrying about other people understanding me.
Getting in touch with myself more and focusing on what makes me happy, and what makes my soul at PEACE.

I understand I am my biggest commitment , so I have started loving my flaws, my awkwardness, my weirdness, my stubbornness, my intensity, my vulnerability and my everything.

Life becomes so much more fulfilling when you are just simply yourself.
The world keeps spinning whether people understand you or not, so why not make this next trip around the sun about you.

This year I promised myself to move, to groove and to become the best version of me and as I walk this path I am loving my own company. Nothing like detaching from all that drains you and leaves feeling exhausted. protect your energy at all costs.

After all you only have one life to live.
Call your own shots and fly.

Happy Birthday to the most beautiful, strong human being that I know.

When you switch your environment you switch your focus.
There’s just one way to radically change your behaviour: radically change your environment.
Many refuse to believe that they are vulnerable to external pressures, which bend, twist and distort their views on things.

I’m my own person. I think what I want to think.”

Although you can be steadfast in what you believe, closing your mind to the impact of the environment around you will never allow you to grow. Simply put, your environment does hold enormous sway over you. Those who come to realise that can bend it to their advantage.

It takes many forms and has been subconsciously influencing you since you were born. We always hear about how “the environment we grew up in has shaped who we are today”.

What is around you is fluid.

Whether you want to believe it or not, you can pop that comfort bubble, whether mentally or physically, and change your environment to what works for you. It is in your control, and if you do change your environment for the better, you’ll see a positive change in your life in return.

Do it, and in ten years time, you will thank yourself for it.

You came into my life like a drizzle but HELL no way will I let you become my storm. I will fight you with every ounce of strength in my body and my soul. You will not thrive in my space. There is no home for you here.
For those battling CANCER we shall win this fight.
For the survivors we salute you.
As I honour the month of CANCER let us lift our hands in prayer for all those battling this disease.
I ask all of you to come to our fair on the 31st at Simba Union ground in Nyali from 10am to 6pm where we will be selling item to raise funds for our very own who is suffering from mouth cancer as Team Pamoja.
If you wish to give us items to sell for this cause kindly let us know we can give you the drop off points.

Before we start, I want to quickly go over two very important facts I've come to realize in the time I've worked to increase my daily mental energy.
First...

There is no separation between the mind and the body. What the body feels, the mind feels. What the mind feels, the body feels.

This might seem like an odd first point, but I've found it to be the foundation of my efforts to increase my daily physical and mental energy.

Self-awareness is all but necessary if you want to increase your daily energy levels, without which you're shooting in the dark. That is, guessing at what will help increase your energy when you have no idea what exactly is draining you.

You might say, "I know what's draining me, it's my job!" But what exactly does that mean? Is it some form of drain on your emotions or are you running around all day? There's more to it than what first meets the eye.

With a daily mindfulness practice, you'll begin to notice when and what makes your energy dip and be able to take the proper action to counteract that- both in the moment and at large.

So first and foremost, you need to become very self-aware. We go about our day only sometimes noticing what's really draining us, and rarely noticing how our daily actions are fluctuating and potentially affecting that.

This is the centerpiece, the ability which allows you to monitor your energy levels with clarity and gather information to make accurate changes.
Don't underestimate this point.

Pain can be our biggest tutor. We must learn to find wisdom in the unwanted.
It’s only by dealing with the pain head on that you learn to overcome it. You need to embrace it, investigate it, and come to terms with it (which is difficult if you keep yourself distracted).

Pain is not the enemy; it’s your soul telling you that something is wrong.
Humans naturally shy away from pain; it’s in our DNA. You instinctively avoid the things that hurt you, and you quickly learn what’s safe and what’s not.

We are so afraid of pain that we’re doing the best we can to avoid experiencing it. Yet our whole way of living is leading us to exactly what we are trying to avoid.

Allow pain to transform you.
By embracing what comes on this journey, and having faith that I am not given anything I cannot handle, I am going with the flow that life offers. Trying to go upstream is a defense mechanism that I learned to cope. I am learning a new way of coping, and I let myself feel the course of life.

When we embrace our pain, suddenly it isn’t so painful.

Trust what God blocks in your life. I remember back when I was so in love but yet struggling to let go of a failed relationship.

Than I would hold on to failed friendships, failed jobs. All the signs were there that they were not working yet I was still holding on and getting miserable.

As years went by I realised if God blocks it, than leave it alone. Do not try to put a coma where God put a period. I am not ashamed of my past. As I got so many messages from my messes.

Remember this the more nicer you are, the more hurt you will get. Learn to put boundaries and know where to draw the line. Learn to say NO.
Put God first and you will hear him guide you.

Knowing your worth is a very personal thing and it really has nothing to do with anyone else. It's your internal measure of how you value yourself REGARDLESS of what other people might think of you or say to you.
Knowing your worth is an insurance policy for your mental well-being and affects every aspect of your life.

Low confidence makes us doubt our abilities. It prevents us from setting ambitious goals and having the resolve to go after them. This all can lead to a poor quality of life. When you know your worth, you TRUST yourself and the decisions you make.

You have more confidence and don’t question yourself, hence you can act quickly and seize opportunities as they happen.

This is especially important in our personal relationships but also applies to workplaces. Stop settling. I’m not saying it ALL starts with you because there are some truly horrible people out there that will never see you for who you are and will always treat you unfairly or plain wrong.
