🚨BREAKING: Meru Governor's Cup dubbed Governor T**H CUP to begin in the next two weeks involving football and athletics . The Cash Prize for both Men and Women football teams will be Ksh. 1 Million, 750k for runners up, 500k for third place and 300k for fourth place.

For Athletics, individual awards will be given for the first six in each race with the winner getting Ksh. 35,000, 25k for runners up, and 15k for third place. The races that will be competed for include 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 1500 meters, 3000 meters and 4×400 meters relay for both Men and women.

Registration for participation MUST be done ONLINE via https://forms.gle/fnUxgaoGMp4vcqx78
Football teams are allowed to register a maximum of 30 players who must be registered online by including their names and ID numbers. No player outside the original list will be allowed to play for the team later in the competition.

The deadline for registration is September 28th, 2025. The competition will start at ward level then advance to subcounty level and later county level for finals.

Kenya Premier League, National Super League and Division 1 players are NOT allowed. Only two teams will proceed from ward level. 30 minutes to be played each half with a halftime break of 10 minutes.

There will be NO extra time from the knockout stages; penalties will decide in case of a tie. Players jersey numbers must match the number indicated in the team sheet. Teams will get uniforms from the subcounty level.

All protests must be handed to the tournament official 30 minutes before kick off. NO appeal will be allowed after the game and you must prove your case. No indiscipline will be tolerated.

Players who play in Meru that have their FIFA connects reading outside Meru must have Playing cards to prove that they play for the Meru based team.

Maximum of five (5) substitutes will be allowed and FIFA rules will apply. There will also be a tournament committee to oversee the matches.
