The 2024/2025 FKF calendar kicked off in earnest today at the historic Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County.

Tusker FC (the brewers) expressed their intentions to wrestle the title from the 2023/2024 Champions, Gor Mahia (K'ogalo).Tusker beat Sofapaka FC (Batoto Ba Mungu) 1-0 to claim all the 3 points.The only score of the match was scored in the 61 minute by their 20 years old attacking midfielder, Chrispine Erambo.

In the earlier fixture of the day at the same venue, Posta Rangers FC (the Mailmen) settled for 1 all draw with Bandari (the Dockers).

The 2024/2025 Fkf season will kickoff this weekend.The Iconic Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County is slated to host two FKF-PL matches on Saturday 24/8/2024.

Posta Rangers FC (the Mailmen) will host Bandari FC (the Dockers) from 1pm while Tusker FC (the brewers) will host Batoto Ba Mungu, Sofapaka FC in the 2nd fixture at 4pm.

Meanwhile, the historic Kenyatta Stadium continue to be the preferred pitch for football giants in the country.This season, it will be the home ground for seven (7) FKF clubs.

The two Mashemejis, Champions Gor mahia (K'ogalo) and AFC leopards (Ingwe) have made Machakos their home.The others are Sofapaka, Tusker, FC Talanta,Naivas and Mully Children Family (MCF FC).

FC Talanta has made history by being the first FKF-PL club to appoint a Woman as Head coach. Welcome Jackline Juma to Machakos County. You will not be lonely at the top because we have a Woman Governor. a Woman Senator, a Woman County Commissioner, a Woman presiding Judge and of course the Women representative.

The Iconic Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County today hosted the Council of Governors G7 Caucus.

The 10,000 seater Stadium was filled to capacity.This is good tiding as we await the kickoff of 2024/2025 FKF leagues in a week's time.

Today, Governor Wavinya Ndeti accompanied by the other G7 Caucus Governors presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of an ultra-Modern,State-of-the -art Machakos sports complex.

This facility which is situated at the new Machakos city will house several sports disciplines which will help in harnessing all the sporting talents in Machakos county and beyond.

Governor wavinya Ndeti finalizes her public participation journey with the youths of Machakos County today Augast 13th 2024.The gen Zs and the Millennials of Matungulu and Kangundo.The excercise has demonstrated her commitment to youth empowerment in Machakos county. This exclusive excercise is being facilitated by department of youth and sports under leadership of CECM John Kilonzo, CO Ngumbau wa Ngumbau ,director Onesmus Ituo among other officers .Thousands of youths from this sub-counties held a fruitful discussion concerning the county plans for their empowerment and growth. The key initiatives focused on enhancing socio-economic capacities, promoting governance participation, fostering entrepreneurship, unlocking youth potential, providing financial support, strengthening partnerships, and improving access to education.

During these discussions, the youth had the chance to present their needs and expectations, ensuring their voices were heard. This significant engagement marked the conclusion of the of County Government of Machakos public participation process, aimed at amending the Machakos County Youth Empowerment Act, 2022

Congratulations to Team Kenya for their remarkable performance at the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024, where they clinched a total of 11 medals. This outstanding achievement has positioned Kenya at 17th place worldwide and 1st in Africa!

A special acknowledgment goes out to our Gold Medalists: Beatrice Chebet, who secured two gold medals in the 5000m and 10000m events; Faith Kipyegon, who set a new World Olympics record in the 1500m and made history by winning three consecutive gold medals at the Olympics; and the emerging champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi in the 800m category.

We are immensely proud of our athletes for embodying the Kenyan spirit of victory in Paris and raising our flag to great heights.

Wavinya ndeti on Monday 12th 2024.The excercise has demonstrated her commitment to youth empowerment in Machakos county. This exclusive excercise is being facilitated by department of youth and sports under leadership of CECM John Kilonzo.Thousands of youths from this sub-counties held a fruitful discussion concerning the county plans for their empowerment and growth.
