Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service, Eliud Lagat, emphasised the need for the Service to take ownership of its narrative, stressing that all its communications must uphold professionalism and integrity. He warned that failure by the Police Service to tell its own story could leave others to shape the narrative, potentially presenting only one side of its work.

The DIG made the remarks during the launch of the Kenya Police Review magazine, held alongside the official opening of the Strategic Communications Office at Kenya Police Headquarters and the relaunch of the Kenya Police Service website.

The Kenya Police Service has taken a significant step in its modernisation efforts by upgrading its communication systems to respond effectively to the demands of the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat, alongside senior police officers, officially commissioned the newly built and fully equipped Strategic Communication Office at Kenya Police Headquarters, Vigilance House.
The occasion also saw the unveiling of a Kenya Police Service magazine highlighting officers serving under the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti, alongside a revamped official website designed to provide the public with faster and more reliable access to information.
Together, the three platforms are expected to enhance the coordination and dissemination of official communication, deepen public engagement and enable the Service to communicate its activities and achievements more effectively and directly.

Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula has joined President William Ruto and Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) for the 2026 Kenya Health Summit.

Held under the theme “Reforms Delivered, Health as a Right,” the summit brings together key stakeholders to review progress made in Kenya’s health sector and deliberate on measures to advance Universal Health Coverage.

The discussions are focused on strengthening a responsive, equitable and accessible healthcare system that ensures every Kenyan can access quality health services.
