🚨Arsenal look to have won the race for Salford City’s 17-year-old sensation Will Wright after hijacking Liverpool’s Β£100,000 transfer.

Arsenal offered Β£250,000 plus major add-ons where as Liverpool stood firm at Β£100,000 plus add-ons.

The striker stands at 6ft 3 and netted over 40 goals for Salford’s youth team last season.

On loan from Lyon in the 2002-2003 season, FoΓ© made 35 appearances for City and was second highest goalscorer (9 goals) during the season. He also scored Manchester City's last goal in their final game at the old ground at Mane Road.

City were impressed with his performances and were about signing him permanently when death snatched him.

The club has never forgotten the Cameroonian midfielder and to honour his memory, they retired their number 23 shirt.

If reports emanating from England are to be believed, Harambee Stars midfielder Timothy Babu Ouma could become the second Kenyan to feature in the English Premier League following interest from Brentford.
