Unnecessary heartbreaks can become a lifelong curse in that you'll have dealt with so many wrong people such that by the time you meet the right one you're afraid of them. When you've been repeatedly hurt in the name of love, the idea of love can become scaring.

What to do then? Do not fall in love when you're dating. Examine people without loving them. Converse with them and give them pass or fail without involving your heart. Do this quickly and continually until you meet the right one whom you can then open your heart to.

Many people marry not because they found the right one but because they grew tired of searching or they got too attached to the wrong person and they decided to make do. Getting emotionally attached to candidates is a recipe for chaos and mayhem. This mistake is precisely what makes campus and pre25 dating disastrous because they almost always begin not with a conscious search and evaluation but with an unplanned emotional attachment.

Never allow life to put you on the receiving end like this. Have a structure for your life and decide what kind of person you need and never settle until you meet them.
